From Earth and Sky
Get ready for a space-faring archaeologist who uncovers an ancient terror on a desolate moon, an immortal who hunts infernal creatures, a celestial being who lands on a polluted planet-destroyed by climate change-to render judgement on its inhabitants, and much more. From Earth and Sky is what Coleman refers to as "Nappy Science Fiction & Fantasy." This collection of short stories explores the broad landscape of the Black Fantastic-Science Fiction and Fantasy centering black protagonists. Coleman is at his best in this engaging and sublime contribution to the genre using what New York Times Bestselling author A. J. Hartley describes as, "Brilliant, incisive language wielded with wit and delicacy. A lightsaber working like a scalpel." Buckle up and prepare for a journey into the Black Fantastic that will carry you from earth to sky.

On The Black Hand Side
On the Black Hand Side is a collection of poems about black life, love, and justice. Coleman is engaged in the project of showing that black people's humanity, and their lives, matter. His work is a journey through his own experiences, in which—in the best traditions of poetry—he opens his literary veins and spills his own life, like incandescent blood, on the page. Coleman believes that poetry should be accessible and honest. On the Black Hand Side is a triumph in every sense. Join him as he takes you on a journey to the Black Hand Side.

Nappy Metaphysic
Combining poems from thirty years of writing with new work, Coleman has created an indelible collection that's hard to put down. He mixes love, philosophy, the political, and social commentary with personal history, winding it all around the lives of black folks producing a heady mix of rage and insight while holding a mirror up to the broader culture. This is a collection of poems you will want to read over and over again.
This special hardcover edition of Nappy Metaphysic includes new poems not included in the original paperback version. In response to the extrajudicial killing of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, Coleman has written new work in an attempt to express his rage, sadness, and hope in the face of the continuing struggle to get the nation to understand that Black Lives Matter.

Incendiary
This compendium-a collection of concise but detailed information -of poems and essays, comes out of Gerald L. Coleman's historical approach to these collections. He writes from personal experience, in conversation with his participation as a black person from a broader community, aimed at a philosophical affirmation-we are human beings and our lives matter. Incendiary is a collection of poems and essays that, as award-winning poet Jasmine Elizabeth Smith declares-transcends the theoretical and moves into the tangible. He challenges us to become the protagonists of the Afrofuturist tradition we desperately look to in this time to find the courage to act, to love deeply, to tap into that sacred wellspring of anger, and lend our spark to ourselves and ultimately each other in that incendiary flame of justice. This collection of poems and essays is a direct response to the most recent election and current cultural climate. Coleman says come rage with me and let's seek justice and equality together. This is incendiary.

RE-RELEASE OF THE THREE GIFTS SERIES
I am currently working on rewrites of When Night Falls and A Plague of Shadows—book one and two of THE THREE GIFTS epic fantasy series.
Once finished, I will be re-releasing them followed by the publication of the third book in the series, all through Black Magic Books.
I want to thank all the readers who are already invested in this story and I trust you will continue on this journey with me. I'm excited for you to experience this updated version of the series.
If you've already picked up the originals of book one and two, don't worry, you can carry on with book three if that's your desire. There will be some minor changes in the new editions but nothing that will leave lost in the story going forward. I've been explaining the updated versions as, "the same story, better writing," and that's been my aim.
This series is the story I've always wanted to write and this new update is about giving that story the love and attention it deserves.
In publishing, particularly with a series, if folks don't read book one then book two doesn't get published. If they don't read book two, book three doesn't get published, and so on. This is me making the full series possible with this rewrite. I hope you'll come on this journey with me and see what happens with Bantu and company.
Until then, please enjoy the science fiction and fantasy collection I've recently released, From Earth and Sky.
Again, thank you for your support. Readers make all of this possible. More news as it becomes available!
